Resolutions for the Year of the Dragon

I haven't updated the blog in ages.

Lately I've been really busy with work! Last December '11, I finally became an official nurse trainee at the hospital. The hard work and patience finally paid off!! Of course that doesn't mean I can slack off now. I still have to work even harder since more is expected of me.

On an additional note, 2012 is the Year of the Dragon. That means it's my year and I want to be as productive as I can. I'll try to alternate between drawing and writing everyday. I really need to improve more :c Anatomy, Concept, Presentation, Colouring. I need to improve so much!

I'm feeling so pumped right now!

On another aside, I really have to get more serious with studying JP ;; I've been slacking off for the longest time and I can't allow that to happen now. ;u;

I guess that's it for this entry.

Some self-inspirational nothings ;;

Last night, I was able to go star gazing. My friend was driving me home. I was not expecting to see stars in the night sky due to the previous cloudy days and the past typhoon. And light pollution from the city makes even the light of the brightest stars barely discernible.

But when I looked up, I was surprised to see an overwhelming abundance of bright lights dotting the night sky. We had just exited the city so the horizon still held the faint pinkish-yellow tinge from the night lights. But as we got further from the city, more stars came into view. I had my friend pull over so we could admire the sight.

My nape hurt a bit from looking up for too long but it was so worth it. As I faced the northern sky, I could see Polaris, Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. I turn eastward and there was Draco. A bit further more and Vega, in all her splendor, stood out like a beacon among the other stars. To her left was Altair and between them, the milky way ran through Deneb, completing the summer triangle.

It was one of the most splendid sights I have ever seen. I can't remember ever having seen stars like I did last night. I feel oddly at peace after that.

Goals for the next half of the year!

June is coming to a close and I look forward to the last six months of 2011.

It's time for priorities to be checked, hm.

Get more on-calls from the hospital -There's not much I can do to help this; but better work performance is a must; sucking it all up and giving each shift my best is the way to go! I shall work better and enjoy it too!

Finish that drrr BIG BANG entry - I swear I'll finish this if it is the last thing I do.

Get better at art more like, tablet rape to be exact. Ah, I really need to work on my anatomy and coloring skills. I still play it too safe!

I will also learn more French this year! /o/

I guess that summarizes most of it.
I'll add more as they occur to me.
